PERFECT PLASTIC PRINTING Enhances Contactless Bank Card Capabilities By Adopting The Next Generation Of INSIDE'S MICROPASS® L4 Platform
(St Charles, Ill – February 7, 2007)
Perfect Plastic Printing (PPP), one of the industry's leading manufacturers of traditional and contactless bank cards, today announced that it has adopted the MicroPass L4-2G platform from INSIDE Contactless, to enhance the performance and reliability of the contactless bank cards which it will be delivering into the US market in 2007.
Each year, Perfect Plastic Printing manufactures millions of contactless credit cards for issuers throughout the United States. By adopting INSIDE's new MicroPass L4-2G intelligent hardware platform, Perfect Plastic Printing can streamline its manufacturing process and deliver a new generation of contactless cards that feature better performance and enhanced functionality for their customers.
The MicroPass L4-2G platform provides optimum read distance and requires minimal power consumption for contactless card applications. By providing dual-issuer support for both Visa MSD and MasterCard PayPass, MicroPass L4-2G helps to simplify PPP's logistics and manufacturing processes. MicroPass L4-2G also features new support for development and deployment of third-party transit, loyalty and identity applications with these bank cards.
“INSIDE's MicroPass L4-2G platform delivers greater value through core functional and performance capabilities, while allowing a streamlined card manufacturing operation,” said Matthew Smoczynski, Vice President of Marketing for Perfect Plastic Printing. “Contactless bank cards are gaining significant momentum in the US and around the globe, and we're pleased to work with INSIDE to incorporate the industry's leading technology into our cards.”
“The latest generation of INSIDE's MicroPass intelligent hardware platform has been designed to provide PPP with a multi-brand, multi-application platform with improved performance features for cardholders,” said Didier Serra, INSIDE Contactless' General Manager and Executive Vice President of Sales for North America. “As valued partners since 2005, INSIDE is thrilled to see PPP roll out our latest technology to their issuers, and end-user customers nationwide.
